Professor of Financial Economics and Quantitative Methods at the University of Montreal | Scientific Director of SKEMA CANADA
D. in economics from Princeton University, he has devoted his research career to studying financial markets and their relationship with economic activity. His recent research focuses on the role of financial intermediaries and the analysis of extreme risks. At SKEMA, he leads a research program in portfolio management with reinforcement learning. René Garcia has contributed to creating innovative interdisciplinary higher education programs for professionals.
